Funny enough, the wake up was much harder than the disease itself ,indeed , I was told step by step about what happened to me. the In formations itself were overwhelming: I had two, not just one but 2 massive stroke STROKES; Got paralyzed ( Hemiparesis ) and had been kept in a coma state(induced coma) so that my body and especially my brain recover from all the damages created by the Strokes.Anyway when i woke up i had a tube in my throat, tied to the bed as I tried to take the tube out of my mouth during my sleep and they had to tie my hands to avoid that; And the most unbearable for a human being I was dependent to people for anything i wanted to do ( toilet ...I couldn't walk and had to stay in bed All the time...I was in the intensive care units so visits were very limited 2 persons at a time for a limited time......My family got me a radio to keep me company and to keep me posted on the news from the outside world ( the War in Yugoslavia was on at the time) and nice and relaxing music to keep me company at night( very important for my recovery). And I was told that I was meant to use a wheel chair when i will be strong enough for that, And the Rehabilitation center....Life is a bitch and then you die.... seeing life through someone else's eyes / life experience sometimes help you to apreciate Your own life...Sharing my life and thoughts with you I hope will help you appreciate what you have aka your life more fully because trust me your neighboors grass might appear to bre greener than yours ; some others won't even have grass growing in front of their house or might not even have A house.
